Public Involvement Activities
The CCC invites public participation through a variety of media including the web, newspapers, radio and television. The public is invited to attend meetings of member MPOs, the CCC, or any of their meetings, events or workshops.

If you have ideas about how transportation should be improved in west central Florida, the Chairs Coordinating Committee and your Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) want to hear from you.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Conference
In 2004 and in 2006 the CCC was one of the sponsors of the Regional Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) conference. Professional planning and engineering staff from all over the region attended, along with elected officials.

Transportation Summit for Business and Industry
Periodically, the CCC assembles leaders from business and industry to discuss transportation needs for the region. Guests participate in planning activities such as putting dots on maps to indicate areas that they perceived as high or low priorities. The event pictured here was co-hosted by the Tampa Bay Partnership. |
Public Involvement Workshop at the Museum of Science and Industry, Tampa
Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) provided discounts as incentives to participate in a regional transportation workshop on May 22, 2004. Approximately one in six museum visitors completed the survey, including entire families. In the photo at right, a child colors a map while her mother gives her input. A report is available. |

Presentation at the Tampa Bay Partnership
The Transportation Task Force of the Tampa Bay Partnership, a regional organization for CEOs, invited the CCC to present an LRTP update for its March 26 meeting in St. Petersburg.

The CCC provides ongoing public involvement activities. CCC member agencies routinely disseminate regional messages through their presentations to social, civic and government groups, as well as public workshops on local topics.
