Transit in West Central Florida
Spurred by transportation problems such as the rising cost of gasoline, road congestion and the transportation needs of its citizens, the CCC has been working with other agencies to enhance mass transit and other alternatives to the one-passenger car.
Future solutions will include expanding regional routes for mass transit including bus and rail systems, carpooling programs, and programs such as Bikes on Buses that combine two or more kinds of transportation.

On November 2, 2004, by a majority of 64%, the citizens of Florida voted to repeal the High Speed Rail Amendment. To learn about the current status of the project, go to its website.
